About Us
Founded 90 years ago, NJ Labs is one of the longest-standing independent analytical testing laboratories in New Jersey — a state long known as the “Medicine Chest of the World” and home to many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.
NJ Labs (New Brunswick, NJ) is an FDA-registered, DEA-inspected, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited cGMP Chemistry & Microbiology laboratory specializing in compendial pharmaceutical testing (USP, EP, BP, JP), stability studies, and method validation and transfer. Our sister laboratory, Anresco NJ Labs (Middlesex, NJ), serves the dietary supplement, cosmetic, food & beverages, OTC, and consumer product industries.

Our mission is to be recognized as a leading provider of — and advocate for — quality in Chemistry & Microbiology testing in the industries we serve.

The Role
We’re looking for a go-getter with a science background who thrives in front of customers. New Jersey sits at the center of the pharmaceutical industry, and this role puts you right in the middle of it. You’ll own a territory and build relationships with QA, QC, and procurement leaders at pharma, biotech, CDMO, and API/excipient companies — turning those relationships into recurring testing programs.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • 3–7+ years of B2B sales in contract testing, CRO/CDMO services, analytical instruments, or lab consumables. Pharma QC or laboratory experience is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, USP/EP compendial requirements, and the pharmaceutical QA/QC environment
  • An existing network of pharma and biotech contacts in New Jersey and the Northeast
  • A proven track record of opening new accounts and closing business.
  • Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Conditions And Physical Requirements

  • Prospect, meet, and close new pharmaceutical and biotech accounts through on-site visits, lab tours, calls, and industry events.
  • Build and manage a pipeline, keeping deal stages, activities, and forecasts accurate.
  • Hold consultative, technical conversations about release testing, stability programs, method validation and transfer, raw material testing, and microbiology — bringing in our scientists when needed.
  • Work with the lab and in-house commercial team to scope projects, prepare quotes, and set realistic turnaround times.
  • Grow existing accounts by cross-selling services across NJ Labs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and regional events (e.g., CPHI, DCAT Week, AAPS, and local pharma networking groups).
  • Relay market intelligence, competitor pricing, and customer feedback to leadership.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
